Truth is Stranger Than Fiction

A Maryland company under contract to the Pentagon is working on a steam-powered robot that would fuel itself by gobbling up whatever organic material it can find — grass, wood, old furniture, even dead bodies.

That “biomass” and “other organically-based energy sources” wouldn’t necessarily be limited to plant material — animal and human corpses contain plenty of energy, and they’d be plentiful in a war zone.”

The name of this robot:  EATR.

This is gross!!! The article mentions using this “technology” in a war situation.. but what would prevent it being used on the homefront as well. I am not anxious for my body or the bodies of loved ones to be used as bio-fuel to power someone’s a/c or car. To me this is desecrating the dead (humans). I’m also not keen on our pets becoming bio-fuel either.
