Powdered Sugar

I read this great tip if you need powdered or confectioner’s sugar, and you don’t have any on hand.  Take regular (or granulated) sugar and pulverize it in your blender until you have the amount of powdered sugar you need.

It also works if you put in a little bit of cornstarch. I’ve tried it and it may not be the same as store bought powdered sugar, but it definitely works in a pinch!

That’s a great tip. Really, all powdered sugar is, is “powdered sugar.” I’m not 100% sure, but I think you need twice as much regular sugar for whatever measure of powdered you need. I.E., a cup of granulated sugar will yield a half cup of powdered.
