Baking Soda and Vinegar

I came across this post about cleaning your entire kitchen with vinegar and baking soda. I have been doing this routine this week to see if it worked, and I have to tell you, this is wonderful!

I had tired the baking soda for caked on food in pots before, and it did not work well for me. The trick is to put the pot on the stove and boil the water, and it works. It works even if you had food that was stuck on a pot or plate after it went through the heated dry cycle of the dishwasher-the stuff that the dishwasher missed.

Using it to clean the microwave works! If you have more stubborn stains/spots in the microwave, just dip your towel into the vinegar after it has cooled some, but is still warm. Use that with a little elbow grease and your microwave will be clean.

It works great for the floor, too! I realize that the smell of vinegar might be bothersome for some people, but you could put some essential oil in with the vinegar and see which scents work. I have not done this yet, but plan to in the future.

Of course, it’s great if you have little ones-non-toxic and not harmful if swallowed (unless you add the essential oils). Read the post, implement the plan and see how easy it is and how well it works.
