Most people I know still do get to vote in their congregations. I do know the other type exists.

This issue was not an immediate need-it is a need but we could have improvised something else for a while and waited for the funds to come in. I was in the minority and the vote passed. That's fine, but those that passed it should support it.

The manipulation is what stands out most in my mind-and it does make me think twice about the proposal -any proposal-when it's presented in that manner.

You mean you get to VOTE on stuff? A lot of congregations don't. The "man of God" is in charge of the church and you'd better shut up.

It still might be a great idea to vote yes (I wouldn't know) but I don't like my arm twisted either.
