Churches Turn Into Police Stations

Thanks to a faith based imitative program, churches can now be turned into police stations and courts:

“The program is called Fugitive Safe Surrender. For four days, a local church is turned into a full-fledged court, complete with judges, public defenders, prosecutors and identification equipment such as fingerprinting.”

Churches used to be places of sanctuary, not a place to be fingerprinted and taken to court. This program has been in place since 2005, although this was the first I’d heard of it. I wonder why the ACLU is not up in arms about this one, since this is clearly a violation of state/church separation.

Of course, the programs and churches involved are all lauding the benefits of the program, but churches should not be doing this. It is good practice for the government though when they decide to take over the churches for police stations, a la Russia. They will already be familiar with these church buildings. When the government decides to outlaw Christianity, they will already know where to round up some of the people.
